Welcoming Jessica Breeden
We’re excited to have Jessica Breeden serving as an intern with us at our Christiansburg office.
Jessica grew up in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, where she spent many years in public education and then, most recently, many more years in camping and retreat ministry, where she worked with children and adults. Here, she grew a greater understanding of the many sacrifices those in ministry and their families make and their need for unique support. She and her husband are recent bird launchers (a fun way of saying empty nesters), and they have called Blacksburg home for almost ten years.
Jessica has a deep love for supporting our local college community and those in the early stages of engagement and marriage. Areas of counseling focus include transitions and decisions that mark postpartum, career change, caregiving, hospice care, and women’s issues.
Jessica obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Roanoke College with an education endorsement and will graduate with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA, in May. When she isn’t studying, you can find her in her garden, visiting local farmers’ markets, or gathering her people around the table. She believes greater healing and change are possible for anyone and that growth happens in community. It is her privilege to listen to your story and walk with you for a season on the path toward the more abundant life our Creator desires for us.
