• Deja Scripa-Jones

    Counseling Intern

Deja is originally from upstate New York and has earned her undergraduate degree in Global and Intercultural Engagement from Liberty University. She has served overseas and locally in many contexts, helping missionaries and ministry leaders with outreach and community development. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at LU. Deja’s desire as a future counselor is to see individuals grow in joy and grit through connection and processing. At BRCC, she is excited to gain experience counseling teens and young adults, missionaries, and ministry leaders. She also desires to help those who are processing their grief and trauma.

Deja loves people and hearing their stories, which connects her heart to help global workers and missionaries be mentally and emotionally healthy. Some of the little things in life she enjoys are dancing, making and drinking coffee, and watching movies. Deja strongly believes that the Lord does not call his people to perfection, but to faithfulness.
