Esther Park

Biblical Counselor

Esther was born and raised in a Christian family in Seoul, Korea, and has worked in various ministry settings over the past years. She earned two bachelor’s degrees, one in family studies and one in psychology. She also holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She has been teaching Christian counseling courses at Washington University of Virginia since 2006. She has work experience in addressing trauma, domestic abuse, child welfare, and foster care. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in Biblical Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary.

As a bilingual counselor with multicultural background, Esther provides counseling in both English and Korean. She is passionate about helping people deepen their identity in Christ, grow to maturity living with the heart Jesus gave, and serve in ministry fulfilling their God-given mission. Her counseling areas of focus include marriage and family, parenting, midlife crisis, guilt and shame, relationship issues, and leadership development.

Esther and her husband Sunny enjoy serving as lay leaders for a local church in Northern Virginia and have a daughter and a son. She enjoys hiking, classical music, morning devotion, and quality time spent with friends and family.
